SUBSTITUTE STEPHANIE'S SNAPSHOT OF THE DAY... THE ROMANCE OF E'TOWN'S WEDNESDAY NIGHT TEST N' TUNE PROGRAM...

Today we have the trusty Stephanie substituting for The Doc. At this time Doc is either occupied with her Big Stick music related work, and/or her fine-art sculpture related responsibilities (as she will be increasingly frequently over the period of the next several months or so)... We believe that Doc will hopefully be back on the clock for Monday's edition of this popular blog (Of course tomorrow we'll be running our usual "THE SUNDAY FUNNIES THAT AREN'T NECESSARILY THAT FUNNY" critically acclaimed anti-cyberbullying feature with blowhard Marvin)... Please enjoy Stephanie's Snapshot of the Day... This installment features a photograph that Doc snapped at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park this past 2017 season. It's a tranquil shot of dusk falling on the E'Town quartermile, during a Wednesday night "Test N' Tune" session. Doc claims that she loves Raceway Park's long running Wednesday night  program because there's always surprises. You never know what's going to show up. Plus it's a great night for grudge racing, often resulting in the colorful "No/Time" contingent doing their thing. Wednesday nights at Raceway Park are a blast! Some of you may remember back in September, when writer John Leland and photographer Todd Midler did a special photo essay for the New York Times about E'Town's Wednesday night program. That's the one that I believe Drag Racing Underground's John Gill helped out a little bit with. Doc recommends that locals consider attending some E'Town Wednesday nights in the coming 2018 season. As you can clearly see by this photograph, there's a certain romance to Old Bridge Township Raceway Park's Wednesday nights under the stars action that simply can't be beat.
