Today we're going to take a slight departure from the world of drag racing, to promote the wholesome family fun you'll find this weekend at the Middlesex County Fair at 655 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick, New Jersey. I was invited there yesterday and had a ball of a time. For those of you reading this who live around my neck of the woods, I strongly suggest you load the family up in the car and visit this festive event. Today (Saturday) the hours are from 11am-11pm, and tomorrow (Sunday) the hours are 11am-10pm (with a fireworks finale at 9:30pm). There's so much to do at the fair -- let me give you a list of some of my favorite things about the fair -- As you can see by the photo posted below, there's the 4-H club's small animal tent, where I love to pet all the darling guinea pigs. Other fabulous features include the exciting rides of all kinds located on the marvelous midway, all the wide variety of exotic foods for sale (I go to the fair for the Greek treats), the Academy of Music Entertainment Tent, the Marvelous Mutts Entertainment Ring, the Pro Wrestling Tent, all the agricultural and educational tents (many of them hosted by the 4-H club), Cub Scouts -- Boy Scouts-- and Girl Scouts related activities, I could go on and on... I really do recommend the Middlesex County Fair for all my readers in the New Jersey region. For more information you can visit middlesexcountyfair.com
